Can I use a full domain instead of a subdomain for my public site?

The short answer is yes. However read on...

To use your own subdomain (i.e. calendar.example.com) with a public site, all that is necessary to do is to go to your domain name registrar and add a CNAME entry pointing to your timeshout.com calendar. To use a full domain however, you will need to modify the A record. Unfortunately this requires entering an IP address. The good news is that the IP address is 184.106.206.52. The bad news is that it is liable to change. So feel free to do it but keep in mind that it might change in the future. An in between alternative can be done by pointing a subdomain (it could even be "www") to us, then making a redirect on your main domain taking peeps to your calendar.
